To help us understand your quartet singing experience, please complete only the applicable parts of the following questionnaire. Participation in the brigade weekend is not dependent upon on your answers; however your answers will help us understand your skills and ability to play an equal role with the rest of the singers in attendance.

Participation is limited to 31 men per voice part. Apply soon. All applications should be sent in right away to get the benefit of an early review of your application.

Procedures refined and used at other successful Brigades will be in place to determine each applicant's suitability to participate in this brigade. (See acceptance process, below) If your application and deposit are accepted, and an invitation is issued, the deposit is not refundable and the learning materials (Learning CDs and sheet music) will be sent to you mid December. If your application is NOT accepted and an invitation to participate is NOT issued, you will be notified immediately, NO music will be mailed and your initial registration payment will be refunded in full.

First time guests of the Brigade, should have a sponsor. The sponsor form will be available on the website. The Sponsor will vouch for the applicant and the applicant will provide additional information for the Review Committee. This form should be mailed in when the Registration and Deposit are made.

Coming unprepared is not an option. If it is determined at the event that a participant is not properly prepared, he will be disqualified from participating in the quartet contest and may be required to stand down from other Brigade activities. In this case fees will not be refunded.

Once accepted, you will occasionally receive important pre-rally e-mail, be sure to read it to be properly prepared. If requested, please reply in a timely fashion..

Acceptance Process:

A committee will review all applications which may take up to 4 weeks from the time your application is submitted. If approved, acceptance is communicated to the registrant by receipt of a new GLHB newsgroup membership welcome email. A new newsgroup is started each year, labeled with the year of the upcoming Brigade Rally.

Payment Procedures:

Participation in the 2012 Brigade weekend costs $210 per registrant.
  • The $210 participation fee includes all scheduled meals, shared room and complete music package.
  • In order to become accepted for participation and to receive the music and learning CD package you must make a minimum $105 deposit ($135 if ordering a shirt) when you submit your Application. The $105 is non refundable once you have been accepted and have the music. The $30 shirt payment will be refunded if you cancel before taking possession of your new shirt.
  • You agree to pay the remaining balance due $105 ($193 if requesting single room) 2 weeks prior to the Brigade weekend. If you haven't withdrawn in writing prior to 72 hours before the start of the Brigade weekend the entire amount is non-refundable. See the FAQ on the Main Page for withdrawal/cancellation policies.
  • Full Payment at time of Registration is always appreciated by the Treasurer.
  • Payment can be made by check (Mail to Al Bonney, Treasurer, 12660 Sundown Lane, Traverse City, MI 49686) or Online by electronic payment through Pay Pal.

    Brigade shirts are required for every participant. If you do not have one, you must order one with your application for $30. No one will be allowed to sing on the show without an official brigade shirt.

    All rooms at the Brigade weekend are double rooms. You can sign up for a roommate on page one of this application form. Single rooms cost an additional $88. If you have a non-participant guest (wife, date, son) coming to the weekend and will stay in your room, this is a single room.
